Reuse and give a second chance Disused items have become a friendly fad. Therefore, we are not surprised to have found different uses for the same bathtub. We can use it to take a bath, of course, but we can also create flowerpots, ponds, fountains or sofas.
As a bathtub
Can there be anything more relaxing than take a bath in the garden? And yet few of us think of installing a bathtub in it. It is common to install a shower to remove chlorine residues after a swim in the pool or refresh ourselves after a day sunbathing. Why not a bathtub? Finding an intimate space with views to install it is the first step to carry out this proposal.
As a planter
An old bathtub can make a great planter. We can take advantage of its worn appearance or restore it and paint it in bright colors. Planting a mixture of aromatic herbs, green plants and flowering plants in it is always a great idea for fill the garden with color. You decide if you use it standing or lightly lay it down in order to integrate it into a massif.
As a pond or fountain
We can substitute the aforementioned plants, for aquatic plants and create a small pond. If we slightly submerge the bathtub and incorporate some rockery and plants into the set, we can achieve a fantastic painting with which to decorate the garden. What if we also add a font? The sound of water can be very relaxing.
As a sofa
And we end up with one of the most original ways to reuse our old bathtub: transforming it into a sofa. It can become yours next DIY project. You will need to get your hands a little dirty; but it is not an impossible project. The most "expensive" thing will be to get the right tool to cut and shape the new sofa.
