This small victorian house Built in 1890 to the northwest of London, it brings together pieces that its owners have acquired in their countless trips. Nic Guymer and Dave Turner wanted to bring together everything they love in a house that oozes personality; from Marraketch rugs to ethnic decorative elements from Mali to reinvented inherited furniture.
This house is the culmination of all their years together and the time they have spent traveling and collecting. Nick, an interior decorator, is a lover of color; Dave, a fashion photographer, is open to everything. Together they have decorated this house starting from a blank canvas and using furniture and decorative accessories to add color.
The exterior of the house is wonderful, especially in summer when petunias fill the garden with color. A space dedicated to Mali, where they acquired both the bovine heads and the precious wooden bench. Also noteworthy in the decoration are the acid-colored wooden drawer and the retro lilac pots.
The dining room contains family pieces, belonging to the parents of both. Tables and chairs that the couple re-upholstered and added new pink cushions. It is also pink the old parker knoll with cushions made from an old sari bought in Delhi. Also notable in the room are the Amish stars from the New York flea market and the dried hydrangeas from the garden.
The kitchen is small but charming. Antique sideboards adapted for modern use, wooden work surfaces ... and green details. Also lovely are the rooms. The guest room with antique eBay bed, Marrakech rug, Bali carved frame, flamingo bamboo console and art deco wardrobe, is especially pretty.
