The animal kingdom continues to be an obligatory reference in decoration; After being part of sculptures, vinyls, textiles or taxidermies (real or feigned), they come stomping like main motifs of wallpapers for walls; and the most popular proposals do not stand out precisely for their discretion:
The Coordonné company has presented several series of Room Seven, with elements related to the world of travel (maps, monuments of Paris, skyscrapers of New York, etc.). The Afrique and Travel Memories collections take us to the African continent and the jungle animals in great coordinated patterns, divided into washable panels that mix fabric and non-woven.
Who thought that we would end up decorating walls with insects? The interior designer and decorator Guille García-Hoz has managed to edit his Insectarium collection thanks to the Gancedo brand, which sells it in its stores as well as being for sale at the designer's shoproom in Madrid. Flies, dragonflies, ants and stick insects create geometric motifs in bright colors that provide originality and good taste; all the magazines in the sector have opted for this series of wallpapers throughout the season.
If we do not want the color of the wall to completely determine the rest of the furniture and accessories, we can always opt for reasons animalistic black and white: Dogs or horses for more traditional settings, or these «flapatos» (mix of flamingos and ducks) proposed by Wall-á-porter, a company that transfers some women's fashion designs to different home accessories, showing that the motifs of a skirt can also populate the wall in style.
Who could enjoy being around animals more than our children? The Danish firm Ferm Living, founded in 2005, specializes in household items with a very personal aesthetic where graphic design is the protagonist, forming fun patterns with smooth silhouettes or comic-like drawings. Printed on a system called Wall Smart (non-woven), it is a new generation of paper painting much easier and faster to install: the tapestry is hung, the paste is applied on the wall and the edges are spliced at the same time.
