Formosa 1140, of the architects Lorcan O'Herlihy (LOHA), is a residential project of eleven homes in West Hollywood, California.
What is captivating about this building, leaving aside its qualities and interior equipment, is its impressive facade colored red. Intelligently designed, metal panels Exteriors provide shade for windows and separate interior corridors from the public domain.
Another interesting point is the allocation of a large part of the grounds of this complex to the creation of a common space, from the inside to the outside, open to the community. The project was a challenge for a depressed area of Los Angeles, and at the same time an opportunity to create a unique community space expressed in the crafts, color and materials.

What an interesting facade, it looks like a sculpture. I love the game of transparencies.
