Being already in full Christmas celebrations and after several posts dedicated to decoration on these special dates, it remains to add a review dedicated to how prepare the stairs for Christmas; It is true that not all of us live in a duplex or a multi-story chalet, but perhaps we can adapt these ideas to our community stairs if there is trust between the neighbors!
If one of the trends this Christmas has been to opt for ivy leaves as garlands and other natural elements, the railings can be a perfect area for this type of motives, as we see in this country and ecological version: Ferns set with rope, small branches and red apples replacing the classic balls; although obviously it is an ephemeral alternative that will last a few days in good condition even if we use some kind of fixative, so it is preferable to place it close to Christmas Eve to withstand all parties.
Advent wreaths that are often hung on doors and windows can acquire a new decorative sense if they are lined up along the ladder, and perhaps thus also we avoid drilling holes in the walls of the house. A monochromatic decoration would be another option if we do not want to use the traditional Christmas colors, such as this railing full of snowflakes made with wooden sticks and painted in white with a spray.
If we don't know what to do with the Christmas greetings or we haven't had room to display them, why not tie them to the ladder with ribbons? When it is quite wide or has a landingIt is comfortable and very scenic to mount the tree at half height and place the gift boxes (whether real or fictitious) on the sides as if they were marking the way.
In case we do not have a fireplace, the socks will be very attractive on the railing of the staircase to receive Santa Claus; other original idea is to hang mugs or cups filling them with sweets, nuts or chocolates to entertain visitors and surprise the little ones. Much more subtle and fun than offering the tray to the guests!
