For a few years now, almost all television networks have opted for a program dedicated to interior design and decorationWe can say that it has become fashionable to teach the public how to do a renovation in an old-fashioned house and even how to throw it away and rebuild from scratch to finish it off with a modern and current decoration.
One of the most successful programs in the United States and that can be seen in many other countries is the original Extreme Makeover Home Edition. It is a reality show program on the American network ABC, where a large and prepared team of designers rebuild a house in a period of 7 days. The most human side of this program is the reason for the chosen house, since they choose a family whose house, due to the different circumstances that have occurred in their lives, is not as welcoming as it could be or is almost in ruins. During the construction period in which they throw away and rebuild and decorate the family is invited on a special trip. At the end of the program they return home and are surprised with their new home.
But the best thing about the program, in my opinion, is the end result, how they manage to create authentic dream homes in just 7 days and how they choose furniture and perfectly combine materials and styles according to the family that will make it their home. If we want to have ideas to decorate our own house It is highly advisable to watch this program, as there are a wide variety of options and designs where you can get ideas.
In South America it is issued under the name of Extreme makeover: Total makeover; and in Spain under the name This House Was A Ruin; American version.
