Regarding baskets of design for dirty clothes, I would always go for models in pvc, polypropylene or plastic; They are light, resistant, easy to clean, allow outdoor use and can last for years. I present here some of the most iconic at the European level due to their simple and organic shapes, which also offer a double function:
Hideaway is a container designed by Mika Tolvanen for the Scandinavian firm MUUTO; Essentially Nordic in its aesthetics, it serves as a laundry basket or as a wastebasket if a plastic bag is placed inside that is attached to the inner edge. The small square piece that helps keep the lid upright so you can keep your hands free reflects how the simplest solutions require a detailed study of all the details.
One of my favorites is this design by Klaus Kackl that he created in 2001 for the Italian company Magis design; Despite already having more than 10 years under his belt, he continues to be a reference for its fantastic premise: A laundry basket whose lid turns into a basin when turned over; thus, in addition to helping to organize the garments, we can optimize their use to hang them.
This other Meliconi design is also very well presented: Las perforations in striae they make clothes perspire and do not acquire bad odors if they accumulate for several days, and it has a mini basket inside to separate delicate garments or those that will be washed by hand; that way we avoid that they end up mixed with the rest and we wash them in the washing machine by mistake.
