In the municipality of Canejan (Valle de Arán) we find this avant-garde weekend home, work of the architecture studio Cadaval & Solà-Morales.
Located in the middle Catalan pyrenees, This fully restored house preserves all the vernacular charm of the place. Made of dry stone, the house has been conceived as a second residence, with two differentiated areas, for parents and for children, so that two independent environments can coexist within the same unit.
The ceiling serves as an entrance for natural light, respecting the traditional roof shape of the area designed for the high mountain climate, thus eliminating the impact on the environment.
The large glass windows give the house a contemporary spirit while allowing you to see almost any point of the valley and the mountain. Nails luxurious panoramic views that are accompanied by materials and avant-garde interior distribution that reducate visual barriers interior Exterior.
An ideal dream home to spend short periods of time. Through it the recovery of traditional architecture adapted to new architectural trends, including sustainability.
Cadaval & Solà-Morales
Definitely a dream house and what I find most interesting is the panoramic view it offers to enjoy the nature of the Aran Valley and the mountains so that the trip is completely unforgettable.
