Ideas to protect a garden party from the sun

Homemade garden party awnings

During the summer we make the most of the garden. Meetings and parties with family and friends multiply and we do not always have an appropriate place to seat all the guests. Who has not had to improvise and put all the guests to work for protect the table from the sun?

We do not always have a structure or awning that serves to protect the table from the sun and there is nothing more uncomfortable than eating in full sun. We can always resort to the typical sheet at the last minute, but they exist more creative solutions and / or more "formal" that only require some anticipation.

We are not saying that a sheet does not work; it can be perfect for a picnic in a makeshift location. At home, however, always it is convenient to have a plan So we don't have to worry about anything on the day of the party other than enjoying with our guests. That is the idea of a party enjoy!

One of the most original proposals is to cover the table with umbrellas or paper umbrellas. We can put them face up or face down and play with different heights. In both cases we will need to pull some cables or ropes that will help us later, hook the umbrellas. It is a proposal that allows us to color the garden, lots of color!

Another idea is to play with fabrics of different colors or with different reasons. As in the previous proposal, it will make the task much easier to have at least one solid wall or wall on one side of the table in which to fix them. We will only need some lag screws and some open sockets to hold the fabrics, in which we will have previously made some holes.

If we do not have a wall, wall or structure to facilitate our work, we will have to work a little more. We will only have to do it once; once done it will serve us for different occasions. It will be enough to buy 4 strong rods that we can partially bury in the earth and some braces if we want to fix them more securely, in the style of a tent.

Improvising is fine, but better to have a plan, don't you think? Carrying it out with these proposals is not a great job, not even a great outlay.
