We can create our own table with a recycled industrial cable spool. Depending on the size of the coil we can build a large dining table or a small table ideal to place in front of the armchairs or as a side table.
First we would have to sand the entire coil to leave it without dangerous splinters and then we can paint or varnish it, as we want. In the upper part we can place a glass to have a perfectly smooth surface, or if it is not too bad we can leave it as is. If we are more daring and we are good at crafts we can even paint the surface with a pattern or cover it with wallpaper or any idea that comes to mind. We can also put some small wheels in the lower area to be able to move it easily.
And we can even upholster and pad the upper area with wadding or foam rubber and a fabric that matches the decoration and turns it into a very modern and original comfortable stool or pouf to be placed in front of the armchairs, in a corner of the bedroom or in the hallway as a shoe shoe. You just have to use your imagination and get the most out of this recycled object.
