Anyone who knows the north and its coast will probably know that Ondarreta is one of the three beaches that bathe the bay of San Sebastian. There are the roots of a chair and table carpentry workshop, today converted into the family business Ondarreta.
Ondarreta is committed to design by both emerging and renowned designers. Specialized in tables and chairs, They work by hand with noble materials such as wood and metal, among others. Seeing its wide collection of products and finishes, it is difficult to decide.
If it were necessary to decide on a product from Ondarreta, it would undoubtedly do so for its collection of chairs and stools. The lines that have wood as the protagonist; lines like Bob (first image), Oto (third image) and Punto, which shows a great balance between wood and metal; are some of my favorites.
The Aia poufs, designed to be used in different ways. They can be joined or used separately as a seat or low table. I like its rounded shapes and the soft colors that appear in the firm's catalog. They are perfect to decorate a young space young floor; they bring a lot of vitality.
Another product that I really like are the chairs and stools of the Alo chair (2nd and 3rd image), especially the finishes in be stained or upholstered, that detract from the seriousness of the design. And I finish the "recommendations" with the Ant stools (2nd image), for their original design and color.
In addition to designing beautiful products, the firm is committed to minimizing their impact on the the environment, choosing your materials, methods and processes. Have you heard of the Ondarreta company? Did you like their products?
