One of the most usable areas of the house to store things and that sometimes we do not take into account is the space that remains under the beds. Especially the double beds and large measures under which many things fit, but for this it is necessary to distribute the space properly and in an orderly way. Here are some ideas:
- Use folding couches or closets
It is a drawer-type bed base system that rises with springs in the upper area, without having to undo the bed, and allows us to store whatever we want inside. It is perfect for storing seasonal clothing that we do not use at that time or little used household clothing such as spare blankets or quilts. We can make the most of the space since the entire area under the bed becomes a large chest that is easy to access.
- Drawers or boxes
Another option is to place drawers or boxes under the bed to store things. We can buy special drawers for this function or choose to buy wooden, wicker or cardboard boxes and place some wheels in the lower area so that it is easier for us to remove them when we need something from inside. This system is perfect for children's rooms so they can store their toys and access them with ease.
- A shelving under the bed
Another option that we can also combine with the previous ones, is to place an elongated horizontal shelf on one of the sides of the bed to be able to have our books organized, apart from being an original and little seen idea, if we put some small wheels it can us serve as a "cover" so that everything behind us, under the bed, is not visible.
