If I had the opportunity to design a home, as a lover of reading I would create a quiet and exclusive space to enjoy a good book and a coffee. A comfortable space with great clarity in which to let the imagination fly from the hand of many different authors.
The next step would be to choose how to decorate the Reading corner. There would be no lack of an armchair with a good backrest, a bookcase or floating shelf where to put my favorite readings and a good floor lamp. I would also add some other auxiliary furniture where to put the coffee and some textiles to make it more cozy.
This is how I imagine my own reading corner, as a cozy space in which to disconnect from the dizzying pace through which we let ourselves be carried away every day. To create it, you don't need too much space; It can integrate into the living room Look at the images we show you!
Where should we locate the reading corner? Ideally, find a quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle and very clearly; near a window or balcony. What elements are essential in a reading corner? A comfortable armchair in which to relax, some shelves or drawers to store books and a floor lamp for the darkest days.
We must take time to choose the seat. This should be comfortable, preferably ergonomic, so that our back does not suffer after reading. If we reinforce the armchair with a footrest, integrated or not, we will achieve a space in which it will be very easy for us to relax, "get comfortable".
For organize the books, we will need a bookcase or, failing that, some shelves or floating console. You can also organize the books on the floor in an orderly way or collect them in magazine racks or baskets that are also decorative. Also invest in a good floor lamp to reinforce the natural light. Place it so that it does not bother you or cast shadows when you are reading.
You can also make the space more cozy and practical by including a coffee table, a rug, cushions to make you comfortable and a blanket.
