Shelves that are not seen (part II)

In the previous post where we talked about Shelves that cannot be seen (part I), we were able to see two different models of book shelves designed by Miron Lior, perfect for placing our favorite readings on the walls of the house as if they were floating in the air.

In this post I want to continue teaching different models of invisible shelves but that have been designed to support a greater number of copies on their structure while playing with placement and design.

The shelf Sapiens Anthracite, designed by Bruno Rainaldi, gives us the possibility to place our large collection of books up to a height of 152 cm making it look like a tall pile of messy books that can fall at any time. The structure of this shelf is hidden between the books creating this curious sensation. It has the advantage of being able to be placed in any corner due to the little space it occupies, and it also becomes a perfect decorative element for any area of the house.

Another very interesting model is the Virtual bookshelf, designed to be located and anchored on a wall, it allows us to place our books following the curved shapes without them falling to the ground. Like the previous models, it plays with the floating effect and makes the base of the shelf disappear from view once it is full of books. It also has the advantage that if we join several by placing them below we can create sinuous forms of «s» in addition to increasing their capacity.

    The invisible shelves are cool.
They take a lot of space. And they are a freak, of course.
