In order to fully understand any entry, article or book on decoration we must have some basic notions of the different existing decoration styles and their basic characteristics to be able to recognize them at first glance. That is why I would like to make an entry dedicated to briefly explaining what they are and how to recognize them.
1.- Rustic style:
This is the name given to the decorative style in which the woods predominate, preferably little treated with rough finishes. Wicker, stone or mat is also often used. They are usually accompanied by linen, jute or cotton fabrics and upholstery.
The walls can be covered with wood or stone, as well as the floors and there are usually chimneys or elements that are reminiscent of life in the country.
As for the color, the natural colors of the woods will predominate, such as ocher, earth colors and browns.
2.-Classic style:
Classic style is called the more conservative and traditional decoration, in which noble woods are used combined with floral prints and stripes and where colors such as garnets, dark greens and browns predominate.
The ornaments are very important, for this reason there is usually a certain decorative overload with bronze elements, carved and gilded frames, and large curtains and lamps.
3.- Minimalist style:
It is a simple style that is characterized by the simplicity of the forms and the search for serenity, neutral colors and spaces without recharging. It is based on minimizing the elements and coloring using only the essentials.
Unnecessary furniture and elements are eliminated, playing with the sobriety of the shapes and using grays and whites as fundamental colors.
In terms of materials, he uses crystal and glass, polished stone and woods. And as for the fabrics, avoid the patterns predominantly black and white.
