Some ways to place blinds

The one with the blinds is a own decorative universe with a multitude of options, materials, functions and finishes; in addition to being directly related to the world of sewing and crafts. It is the most comfortable and visually clean solution if we have large windows or glass doors that force us to shade the natural light according to the time of day or the season of the year.

Blinds are currently manufactured in numerous materials: The most common are made in natural fabrics such as cotton, canvas or linen, but if we do not want to wash them often we can choose the fabric with a vinyl or polyurethane finish that avoids dust and humidity. The trend called "new rustic" has promoted the use of bamboo or wood panels (like the one in the image) to give the room a warm and colonial-style atmosphere.

In the case of having several windows in a bedroom, we do not have to place all the blinds the same; this creative gradation of shades in red serves to give a touch of color nice, matching the bedding and the decorative box on the headboard. Furniture in white and light woods have been wisely chosen so as not to load the inks too much.

Nor is it necessary to give up the classic curtains by placing a blind, as shown in this bedroom: The traditional ones curtains are replaced by a double blind that is retracted to adjust the light on several levels, and the curtains continue to have their function of giving or taking privacy.

But the curtain does not have to be relegated to oblivion definitively; a roller blind»(Of those that are rolled up at the top) admits placing two different fabrics if we mount two rails that rotate in opposite position, so that the translucent and opaque fabric go up or down independently.

Finally, we cannot forget the blinds of turf with straight , those that are domotized or motorized through command; They can be electric, but there are also models that are charged with battery or with solar energy, an interesting alternative to using blinds in outdoor areas. Their style tends to be understated and in neutral tones, but most manufacturers allow customization for large projects.
