The hammock, essential in your garden

Garden hammock

In many homes with gardens or outdoor spaces, the hammock is a must. Made with a fine network of cotton threads or resistant vegetable fibers such as hemp, fique, or cumare, hammocks invite you to rest. Don't you have one in your garden yet?

There are hammocks for outdoor, indoor and even travel. The former, in the form of a net, whether made of cotton or nylon, are the most resistant; however, there are those who prefer cloth ones. The former, better withstand inclement weather; the latter are softer and lighter.

Hammocks occupy an important place in the hearts of the people of the Caribbean. Who has not ever imagined in one of its fantastic beaches enjoying the rest between two palm trees or coconut trees? Luckily none of that is necessary to place a hammock and we can all enjoy it in our garden.

What type of hammock do we choose and where do we place it? If you are going to use the hammock to sunbathe, choose one hammock with rods. They have a less enveloping design, ideal for not leaving marks. You can place them at the foot of the pool to feel cooler or on it and jump straight into the water!

If you prefer to use the hammock to read or rest, it will be preferable that you choose a shady place. You can take advantage of the shade of trees or place it on a covered porch. The trunks of the trees and the columns or beams of the porch can be used to hang the hammock.

If you have nowhere to hang them "naturally", you can always use a hammock stand, a self-contained clamping system. This will provide you with greater mobility; you can place the hammock anywhere both outside and inside your home, without having to worry about the resistance of the supports.
