Regarding the furniture proposals that have been exhibited at the Cologne 2013, I have been struck by these pieces from the Italian firm Ex.t, a company specialized in bathroom furniture and accessories, but whose Still life model shelf It can be adapted to any place in the house or office: It also works as a bookcase, container, open cupboard for the kitchen or bathroom ... It is a free-standing piece of furniture that can serve as a room divider or lean on the wall, with different sizes and depths, so that placing several together creates an interesting visual effect, especially if the colors and finishes are combined with the Collage series of sideboards from the same firm.
Continuing with the wooden furniture, the Zeitraum company has presented this series of seats for home and office called Friday, reminiscent of the designs of the 50s, but with a very sophisticated technical development in its structure. The seats have a very comfortable format and are covered in fabric or leather, with a characteristic slit-like marking that pretends to be a mistake and gives it a distinctive poetic touch.
At Atelier Hausmann they bet on the metal tube as material main, presenting the Hama low chair designed by Mark Braun and that can be used interchangeably indoors and outdoors, with a very elegant and contemporary industrial style; or the Youtuoo coat rack with seat / shoe rack perfect for hallways with little space.
