Three chairs with history

We start Decoora with three key pieces in the seat design, three chairs that have made history in the world of furniture and that today continue to create a trend in interior design. They are timeless and we can introduce them to practically any style of decoration. We are talking about: Thonet # 14 chair, Eames RAR rocking chair and chair Peacock PP Mobler.

-Thonet # 14: it was created in 1859 by michael thonet. It was sold disassembled and consisted of only six pieces, ten screws and two nuts. It marked a before and after in the creation of furniture for being the first piece in which it was achieved bend the wood. A new Thonet today costs around € 510.

- R.A.R.Eames: created in 1948 by marriage Charles and Ray Eames, both architects by profession. The name of the chair is broken down into Rocking Armchair Rod Base. Were pioneers in using fiberglass in furniture creations, the legs have a chrome structure and are inspired by the Torre Eiffel.

- Peacock Chair by PP Møbler: this chair of Danish origin is a classic of Scandinavian design and it is the work of H. Wegner for the company PP Mobler. It was created in 1947 and is another successful experiment with curved wood. Its design is inspired by a peacock (the name of the chair in English) is made up of a characteristic arched back made of wood, the arch frames flat ribs that evoke the plumage of the bird.
