Vita living: Self-mountable lamps with a timeless design

Vita living lamps

Founded in 2007 in Copenhagen and currently with great international projection, the company Vita Living is specialized in lamps self-mountable, which combine an innovative design, efficient production and affordable prices of excellent quality. On an aesthetic level, its luminaires are simple, elegant and timeless, within the parameters of contemporary Scandinavian design; with warm lighting and ambient diffusion, its screens adapt to any format: suspension, floor or table.

One of its strengths is flat packing in which the lamp is transported, since one can "wear it on" thanks to the handle included in the boxes (most appealing due to its design). It is also a sustainable way to reduce CO2 emissions and the cost of transporting products. The structure of the screens is in unbreakable polycarbonate and the «flakes» or flakes in recyclable polypropylene, in various colors:

The system assembly is very simple and it takes no more than 20 minutes; It is enough to choose the cable and the E27 socket that we want, shape the central circular structure, and gradually insert the flakes into the slots that are marked. In this video, the process and the final result are clearly shown, very well exposed:

Vita Living's design par excellence is Sylvia model, which is made in two sizes and is now also available in black + gold, so that by turning the polypropylene pieces we obtain two lamps in one, or even a personalized model by playing with the position of each flake. The golden finish is curious because when you turn on the luminaire it seems that the lampshade is made of brass, which gives it a very original retro touch.

Eos feather lamps in SFF 2013

The elaborate Eos lamp with turkey feathers is the company's new folding bet: With a steel wire structure and an inner screen in rice paper, it is also packed flat and is easily installed by just pulling the upper and lower end at the same time to fix the frame and extend feathers. The bulb is completely hidden and the luminaire takes on a warm, incandescent-looking glow from the effect of the plumage. The best ? It is cleaned by applying the air a dryer!
