When we talk about the concept of privacy and from the personal space of each one, we usually resort to the metaphor of the bubble as that area of each one. And based on this concept, there have been several designers who have made it a reality, taking it beyond mere metaphor, and have done it by creating a furniture new and different.
An example of this type of "bubble cabin" is the bubble Cocoon concept, a large area to place in the house with a spherical shape of 180 cm in diameter and transparent that allows you to be inside it without losing at any time what happens outside. Playing with the concept of privacy, the Cocoon allows us to place a relaxation area and personal space in any area of our home, from the living room or bedroom to a terrace or the garden itself. It has a base, also made of translucent material that allows the sphere to settle and remain stable on the ground, preventing it from rolling. In addition, it includes quite colorful, versatile and functional furniture that can be used both to sit and read and for children to play quietly.
But if for a matter of space you cannot afford to have this bubble furniture at home, following the same concept of great bubble transparent and intimate and translucent space, the French company Attrap´Rëves has created a hotels space specially designed to be located outside, serving as a resting place while protecting us from inclement weather and allowing us to enjoy nature in our own home without getting cold or wet. It offers all the possible accommodation services of any hotel such as room service, private bathroom or even a masseuse. A different way to enjoy a few days of rest away from home.
