El Gancedo textile stamp turns 70. Since it was founded in Barcelona, this family business specializing in textile decoration has come a long way. It is not surprising, its textiles conquer and if you do not look at the proposals of its new 2015 catalog.
Ciudadela, Geovelvets, Sakura or The Wall are the lines that star in the new Gancedo Tapicerías catalog. Inspired by the signature fabrics, the geometric patterns of the decade of the 50 or the traditional Japanese clothing, they try to convince even the most demanding.
Gancedo designs, manufactures and distributes great textiles that meet any type of need. Can you imagine one of these fantastic cover upholstered chairs in your living room? It wouldn't take much more to fill it. Its textiles are elegant, sophisticated and they have a great decorative force.
The Ciudadela line is made up of a set of emblematic, sophisticated and elegant fabrics both for their textures and for their designs and colors. I love the combination of cushions in shades of green, yellow and maroon and the chairs with large floral motifs; I imagine them in an elegant dining room.
Geovelvets is distinguished by its great geometric rigor. Rhombuses, hexagons, lattice motifs and pop patterns make up a striking collection in terms of color that can be applied to furniture, headboards or curtains. The collection includes smooth and versatile velvets that combine with geometric motifs.
Sakura is inspired by traditional Japanese clothing. Presents flame retardant fabrics in fibers that imitate linen in current colors: petrol blue, black, turquoise green, coral, taupe and natural, all of them on a beige background. The Wall, for its part, is a print on thick linen, which commemorates the fall of the Berlin Wall.
If you liked the textiles in the catalog, wait to see them live. You can do it in the seven own stores that Gancedo owns in Spain; in Barcelona, Bilbao, Tenerife, Madrid, Marbella, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia.
