A house, formerly a warehouse, with an eclectic style

Eclectic home

James Powditch and Diane Adair's home was initially a large, empty 320-square-meter space. It took two years to obtain the necessary permits, design and build this house to which a fantastic courtyard in order to fill each room with light.

The space completely transformed into a eclectic style home, however, it retains original features of what it was. The large garage door is preserved at the entrance to the patio and the industrial style was reinforced with a first floor built in concrete; a material on which blue sofas shine even more.

It was the concrete and the blue sofas that first won me over. Then I began to appreciate the many details that give this home a modern but nostalgic look, in which industrial and vintage furniture share space.

In addition to an eclectic furniture, we find in the house a wide contemporary art collection Australian. These works include artists such as Paul Ryan, Craig Waddell, Lucy Culliton, Martin Sharp, Peter Goodwin, Nike Savvas, Julian Meagher, Jasper Knight, and Peter O'doherty.

Space It is the highlight of this house. The common spaces are spacious and have high ceilings, up to 6 meters high. The feeling of spaciousness is also greater due to the way in which exterior and interior are connected.

Along with concrete we find other materials such as wood, which give warmth to the spaces. Library it is probably one of my favorite corners of this house along with the kitchen. Both have that vintage touch that surrounds the spaces and that, despite the greatness of the spaces, they do not turn out cold.
