This apartment owned by Kristin Kerr Luber located in Chicago's River North neighborhood, is well worth our weekly tour. Designed by Minoru Yamasaki, who also designed the World Trade Center in New York, it combines timeless, vintage and contemporary pieces that bring elegance and sophistication to space.
This is a flat eclectic decorated with parisian savoir, elegant and comfortable. The timeless basics and color accents reflect the owner's personality and interests and blend with the apartment's modern features: tall windows and walls that turn out to be a blank canvas.
We could classify this apartment as elegant and feminine. While Kristin Kerr doesn't consider herself too cocky, the lovely dressing table your room is one of the pillars of this home. And there is something in the routine of sitting down and taking the time to prepare that is glamorous.
No less interesting are in the bedroom the velvet chair and the dresser, the owner's first purchase after her college years. On this one, a painting painted by herself in which the color of the wall melts, a simple and original idea!
El entrance mirror, it also does not go unnoticed. Purchased at auction, it creates a fabulous ensemble with the wooden cabinet, the antique prints purchased at the antiques market, and the simple vase designed to provide the fresh and natural touch one seeks when arriving home.
The eclectic-style living room is the main room of this apartment. Decorated in neutral tones, it combines modern and antique pieces like the inherited velvet chair, in charge of putting the color point. The living room shares space with an elegant dining room composed of a rejuvenated classic-style table and Louis XVI-style chairs that add a rustic flavor.
They are undoubtedly the spaces that have attracted my attention the most in this apartment that does not lack detail.
