A fascinating living room in a outdoor space. The authors of this unique work by urban architecture consist of Carlos Martínez and the artist Pipilotti Rist, winners of the contest to create a public hall in the heart of the financial district of the Swiss city of St. Gallen.
El floor simulates a gigantic red carpet intense, which covers and unifies the area with the intention of recreate the comfort of our own home, with places like the reception, the living room, the Relaxing, or even the parking lot and the terrace. Places to rest, talk, fountains or fake cars are part of this fantasy urban setting.
The idea is to provide a space in theory cold and impersonal with the comfort of a living room, carpeted, warm and welcoming for passers-by.
