We start the week in Decoora counteracting the excesses of Christmas. As? Sharing with you the interior of this contemporary housing simply decorated. It is precisely that simplicity that gives character to this house located in Stockholm.
The house draws attention for its architecture. The ceilings are sloping and the rooms asymmetrical, which makes decoration difficult. The set of materials in the house has also caught our attention; concrete, wood and / or marble they combine to provide different textures and color to it.
The kitchen is the richest room in materials. In a single space, concrete, wood, stainless steel and marble share the limelight. Concrete is used both on the floor and on the walls, the wood in furniture, stainless steel on the dashboard and marble on the large central table.
I have to admit that the kitchen is, without a doubt, the room that has caught my attention the most. In addition to the reasons already mentioned, other original elements such as benches of different styles or the use of abstract works in black and white to dress the walls.
In order to give more warmth to private rooms, the concrete floor is replaced by a wooden one with herringbone pattern. From the kitchen we can see the children's bedroom, with a very intelligent arrangement of the beds that maximizes the available space. I also liked the use of wood that unifies the floor, bed and wall in this room.
In the master bedroom of this contemporary home, wood loses prominence, as you can see. Here the furniture is white, as is the bedding. We can find different black and white paintings on the walls; one on the bed, one on the desk.
Do you like this house? Which of your stays would you highlight?
It will be a great topic, but the warmth that the wood provides in those kitchen furniture will make you feel at home even if it is not yours.
