How to decorate a home office

Globalization, internet, the freelance employment or even the new company policies mean that nowadays more and more people work from home. If that is your case, it is essential that you enable a room as an office to keep the work environment separate from the rest of the home.

A priori, it may seem that the decoration is somewhat superficial in a work environment but are you really sure? How long are you going to spend working in there?

•          The organization: Order is essential to achieve good concentration. To keep everything organized we can place shelves (with or without display case), wall shelves, drawers and document filing cabinets.

•          The lighting: Another very important issue for the workplace is having good lighting, or we could risk our eyes. If possible, the computer should be installed with its back to the window to receive all the natural light from behind. In addition, placing lamps above the computer helps to reduce the visual load.

•      Be careful with your back: Sitting in front of the computer is one of the biggest enemies for the cervicals and the back since without realizing it we will easily adapt a bad posture, to avoid it we must use an ergonomic chair with wheels and for the health of the back we must also put the screen of the computer at eye level.

•          Theory of color: For a workspace, the best wall color is white, as it gives warmth, light, combines with any furniture. We can combine this white tone with another one that we like depending on our style, we can choose intense and stimulating colors, but yes, neutral and soft, we must not contrast excessively as it could stress us and cause us to feel tired.
