Can you fall in love with a bathtub? Since I discovered Vieques, the design of the Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola, I know it is possible. The bathtub, Contemporary in design, although inspired by traditional forms, it seems to haunt me; recently there are many publishers in which I have found it.
Designed by Urquiola For the Italian bathroom company Agape, Vieques is today a range that also includes a freestanding washbasin and a countertop washbasin. The collection made of steel gives the bathroom a retro touch and at the same time undeniable sophistication.
The Vieques product range, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Agape, began in 2008 with the launch of the bathtub. A bathtub inspired by retro models, with a current and contemporary design made of steel, which as you can imagine is not within the reach of any pocket.
The Vieques bathtub is available in two finishes, as you can see in the photograph immediately above this paragraph. One of them, completely white; the second with a dark gray finish on the outside and white on the inside. Both with white taps and practical wooden accessories: a shelf to place the soaps and a backrest.
In addition to the finish, you can choose the size. Vieques, the original Launched in 2008, it has a capacity of 370 liters, measures 63,5 cm. (height) x 171 (length) x 72,6 (depth) and weighs 85 kilos. The smallest version, the Vieques XS bathtub, has a capacity of 320 liters, measures 67,5x150x72,6cm. and weighs 65 kilos.
As you can see in our selection of images, Vieques fits in spaces of different styles. We have found it in industrial-style concrete bathrooms, in modern spaces full of color and in vintage-style environments, among others.
