Recalling the previous post about blankets (the weather is good), I refer here to one of the most outstanding elements of Scandinavian decoration: That everlasting and warm sheepskin that appears in any living room. nordic inspiration and that large franchises like Ikea bring us closer to Spain in its synthetic version. Precisely the suppliers of this type of accessories appeal to the use of natural skins due to the need for sheep to be sheared seasonally; so for once we can enjoy its softness without feeling guilty of being "anti-ecological" or of animal abuse.
The Norwegian company Fjodfiesta, which has re-edited the original design of the Scandia seating series created by Hans Brattrud in the late 50s for decades, has once again produced its famous sheared sheepskins in one single piece for its chairs (in the image above), by claim of multiple clients around the world. Despite the opinion that we may have a priori, it is an accessory that can be taken advantage of almost all year round, since more than emitting heat it contributes comfort, a loving touch and fluffy and even a pleasant feeling of relaxation; its lightness makes it possible to change its location depending on the need of the moment:
Here we can appreciate different resources to give out a sheepskin: As a mat on a rigid design lounger, seat cushion for chairs and benches; carpet for bedrooms, passageways and even to get out of the bathroom… One of the most popular ideas is to customize it to cover other accessories such as cushions, poufs or shoes, especially if over time its finish is no longer so exquisite.
